The upstairs area is where I plan on spending most of my time. You have 2 large floor mats and a bar for sit ups if needed, 2 20" soft box jump boxes, 2 peg boards, a TRX suspension rig and wall mounts, a variety of kettle bells and dumbbells, a small pull up rig, wall balls, a climbing rope, some sort of rope ladder, gymnastic rings, bosu balls, 2 rowers, weighted bats, slam balls, a GHD and a few other pieces that I was unfamiliar with. The floor upstairs is rubberized so no worries with dropping weights. The climbing rope is not a sisal rope and HORRIBLE! It's the slippery one so watch out if you choose to use it. As far as the pull up rig, it is not secured to the floor so anything kipping is out of the question. You do have the option for a fat bar grip and a standard grip on the rig though. There is also a stationary dip station attached to it.

Great place to get in shape

While visiting this post on orders, I was in lodging next to this gym. It was a 6 minute walk away and quite convenient if you are staying in the Knierim apartments. It is a renovated gym with a large weight and cardio floor, a small upstairs area that boasts TRX suspension and various CrossFit equipment, an aquatic area and a sauna. Check in was easy (just show your military ID) and they sell drinks right there. There is no fee while you are on orders. I was informed that there were toning and cardio classes throughout the day that take place in the upstairs area.

** Also! No chalk provided!**

Overall, it is a great place to visit if you do not want to make your way off post to the CrossFit gym in town. It's definitely much better than your typical Army gym but not everything I would like to fulfill my CrossFit love.

Great gym. Always seem to be getting innovative and effective workout equipment. Clubber Lang gym with Rocky Balboa tendencies.

If you are looking for a treadmill or bike, you should be fine. I went in at about 5:30 which should have been a busy time and there were free machines. Downstairs only has 2 rowers though so if they are both taken, head up stairs and there are 2 additional ones that I doubt many knew about. As for the weights, there were free-weight, 1 lifting platform, 2 smith machines, 2-3 bench press areas, and a couple of squat racks. At the time I went, it was impossible to jump on and use the barbell areas unless you wanted to bench. Since I didn't have a spotter, I didn't want to use those. There were many sanitation station where you could grab a wipe to clean your equipment after use too.

The place compliments the staff...friendly, great atmosphere, and clean. Everyone appears to take pride in their job and helping out anyone who asks.

Great gym...especially considering it's free! There is plenty of equipment and room to maneuver. One should not have an issue finding a piece of equipment to use to workout. From free weights to cardio to crossfit, this gym has a little of everything.

Its good with alot of free weights but could really use some cable machines. Staff there are really nice and sell protein drinks at counter.

The only downside (to no fault of the gym or the staff) is the amount of people between 0615 and 0745. Depending on the day, you may have to adjust your workout to deal with a lot of people.
